Absolutely correct.

But while most narrators are probably inclined to allow you to use your *own* abilities as augments, many might not automatically think of allowing you to use your opponent's flaws against him. (Sure, you can augment your Sword combat with Strength, that just makes sense. But augment Sword combat with your opponent's "Fear of being hurt"?).

Of course, to be fair, the player should be sure to point out his *own* flaws if the Narrator forgets that he has ""Fear of large animals"...

It comes down to the players and narrators creating a story together, instead of acting as opponents. And that is way beyond Rules.
