Just to give a contrary experience, every five years like clockwork I get the perverse desire to run a GURPS campaign (first an alternate history game, then supers, then a Crusade game, and last a swashbuckler game - I'm overdue to try again). Each time, the cumbersome rules system breaks me quicker - of course it doesn't help having players who know how to easily minimax the GURPS system far beyond its breaking point.
