Settings/games I have bandied about as prime for a HERO WARS port include: Amber, Nephilim, Star Wars (although the WOTC edition is actually quite nice), Heavy Gear , Tekumel and Ars Magica.Others I have heard suggested include James Bond, Illuminati University, the Young Kingdoms, and Arthurian Britain.
