Or you make SURE you have someone who can deal with that. A few deities and schools have Secrets which involve visiting an alien otherworld intact/without penalty.

Having a hero of Ranvald along with his 'Journy to Sorcerer-Town' secret is proably wise. Of course, finding someone with the secret to an obscure hero-cult is going to be like finding a compassionate Humakti.

Better yet, I'm thinking that some of the Lightbringers may have techniques or abilties that assist you in a deeply foreign world.
