I only picked up on Tarkalor because we found the date when Gringle moved there: and it was the same year as Tarkalor's wooing of the Feathered Horse Queen. I spell "coincidence" as "plot".
And Apple Lane *is* important. Look at the older maps of Dragon Pass. They show two settlements in Sartar. Boldhome, and Apple Lane. Some of them forget Boldhome :(
