Also, Orlanth is Dead page 5 says this (in easy reasons to start together): "One home, many clans: despite appearances in previous publications, different kin groups often inhabit a single village. Multiple clans often reside in a single town, and a..." (the rest is irrelevant)
This seems to tell me that it's well possible for people to easily meet others from other clans in a daily life occurrence, if living in a town (and I believe they don't mean Startar-built cities).
