Neat idea, and the time is about right too! Plenty of time for the Cradle to have gone down Magasta's pool and then sailed through Hell and then on to the sky world.
On the other hand, I feel that the type of giants that spawned the Cradle Baby are much more aligned to earth than to sky - many of them are mountains.
