Seen what it says about lists like this?

Explicitly. Not implicitly. Even if you never post, even if you're just a member. Not that I have any idea how that can be implemented for an existing membership of this size in any reasonable manner. As I said in another message, I do *not* envy the moderators of any of the big lists trying to sort that lot out.

The size of the average post just doubled. People who forget to trim footers in replies will be even more reviled by those on Digest mode, and anyone on slow modems (mobile users?) will hate it.

Yes, all of this will affect every member of this list, unfortunately.
