Ideas needed...

OK chaps, I finally decided to try HeroQuest on one of my groups.

The players, Ben, Lorna and Helen are nice chapsd, and enjoy storytelling over game mechanics. They really enjoyed character generation - and we have three female characters; they are a conservative minded healer who worhsips Ernalda in her All Mother aspect, but unusually with the healier subcult of Enferalda the Supporter. She is very concerned with finding a husband, and in helping the women of the tribe keep their men folk faithful. (Lorna). Then we have another woman, who is an initiate of Odayla the Hunter, and is very much a outsider. She arrives in the stead from time to time, but lives out in the woods most of the time, camping in avariety of spots. Finally we have Helen's Devotee of Uleria, who is considered an outsider by the rest of the Clan, and is viewed with some suspicion by many of the women. They live up near Apple Lane, andf I am assuming Helens character joined the cult there - Helens character concept was Sacred Prostiture, as in Canaanite society, eeking political influence, luxury and wealth, but sincerely devout and highly committed. Uleria made sense.

Now comes my problem. I need to write a story for thwese characters. Noen of the published ones i have strike me as ideal - they only have one weapon skill between them, and no combat magiocs. There character choices clearly suggest to me they want to play a more domestic and faily orientated story. I am happy with this - my previous game involved them in modern wales doing up an old cottage, and getting to know the locals and fitr in, after leaving a circu background - and they loved it. (Ok, there wa s aghost as well!) So I need some ideas for how to write such a game...

Simon's fantastic Wulf Came In from the cold may prove very inspirational, but any othe ideas? Should i start by detailing their stead? Any and all advice welcome. It's amazing how combat orientated many rpg scenarios are.
