Maybe it's too obvious, but is there any reason why these three characters can't be sisters? (Cue announcer voice) They have led separate lives, but now they must come back to the tula to save their ailing mother from a gold-digging suitor / resolve a feud that's about to turn bloody / expose a fiendish plot to frame the head of their bloodline for a crime he did not commit / etc....
Sounds like a perfect _Lifetime_ series episode to me. Or maybe a Jane Austen plot, translated to the Dark Ages.
