He's got no reason to contest you at chess or riddling. He wouldn't
bother. You
want to challenge him, it's on his terms.
Sure, there might be a place where some other challenge is possible, but
unlikely at something important.

The White Bears are extinct (out competed by trolls) and they were when
he went
after this guy too. But he brought a white skin with him, of course, came back
with The white skin.
