As others have said, the Heortlings are not really equivalent to any terrestial culture - not Highland Scots, not Iron Age Britain, not medieval Scandinavia, not medieval Ireland, not the Iroquois league, not medieval Albania, not early Macedonia, not etc. We borrow from terrestial culture to get ideas, but always keep in mind that the Heortlings are fundamentally unlike all these peoples.
