I obviously cannot speak for anyone else but myself. But I troll these boards for answers to questions that I never thought I had need of.

In essence what I do is look to see if anyone has any new way to run a the game or rule that I had not thought of. The only question I ever had about the rules was how to apply equipment bonuses, of which there were about 10 really good points across every conceivable method of applying points all the time or never, or only when the situation warranted itself.

I was pretty much left with the feeling that no one had any better idea how the rule was to apply than I already had myself. Not to say I did not enjoy others opinions, just that everyone plays the way they want to play, so why even ask the question? Again not too bash the boards it was entertaining just not very productive. In the end I choose to ignore equipment unless someone ends up with the bow of Eternal Accuracy, or the Windsword of Severing.

Most of the rules of the book place emphasis on Roleplaying the game and not focusing on rules and rolls. Our last 3 HQ games resulted in a total of one dice roll. And when I asked for a roll the player had to ask me twice because he had forgotten that we even rolled dice in the game and which dice the game used (I forgot myself for a second). Narration maybe HQ's strongest and weakest feature, in that I can narrate a fight scene with the players and still provide a suspenseful adventure based on what actions they take in a fight so who needs to look up rules? Then again I have been playing with the same group of people for 25 years we have long since playing rule warriors to save our butts from the GM Gods.
