Another thought would be to have Kris and Lilly make competing rolls against
a target based on different sections of the course. It might be an obstacle,
a tricky turn, other racers trying to cut them off, etc. That way you get
some variation in the action, can call for different augments as
circumstances change. Essentially 'twould be like the stages of a heroquest,
and you can frame the space between the individual rolls more dramatically.
The two racers will be neck and neck at the finish, but whoever negotiated
the hazards better (i.e., scores the most points in the Extended Contest)
will emerge the victor. That should keep everyone on the edge of their
seats. :)
