I remember seeing the Clarke episode that is mentioned.

The bit about Maiden Castle is a *big* false lead, as Maiden is the largest (by many factors) of the hillforts in Britain, and is in the far south near Dorchester, nowhere near the Scottish forts (okay, nowhere near in a size of Britain sense, it depends on how you see 300 miles - I'm sure our Aussie folks will scoff and say that it's just the next ranch over). There is no way that 25,000 men would be able to *fit* into a scottish hillfort!
