Morgan Conrad:

<< The recent email from Issaries.com to GTA members listed 1 upcoming book on Pavis, one on the Lunars, and many many about Orlanthi in Sartar.

When a newbie signs up on this list, he's told "look at the computer game" which, er, happens to be about playing an Orlanthi in Sartar.

Despite claims here that "there's so much more to Hero Wars than this petty Lunar-Sartar skirmish", IMO, that is CERTAINLY NOT the message coming from Greg et. al. For the record, I'm agnostic over which  message is true, but just want to know what to expect.>>

I'm as keen as anyone for the books to get around to the West, but with only 3 or 4 books being released each year, I'm aware that may take some time. It makes sense, IMO, to deal with one bit of Glorantha at a time, which means providing decent support for the Orlanthi before moving on to the Lunars, and decent support for them before moving on to anything else. And note that one of the upcoming books is about the Lunars - which will *not* concentrate on the Lunar-Sartar skirmish, although doubtless one could use it as a sourcebook for that, which is why I think it makes sense to do them second. The Lunar books will focus on the full range of Imperial problems away from Sartar (it seems that official support for the Dragon Pass battles will be primarily from a Heortling bias) such as Pent and the various internal wranglings.

So the rest of the world isn't being ignored (indeed, a number of books outside DP and the Lunar Empire are already being written) it's just taking time to get there...
