Hmm, maybe I should have read more than the first few
pages of "The Laws of the Salian Franks" and not
ignored all the other books of early law that my wife
has at home? Or are you just pointing out what I did
garner from a few pages--they are filled with bizarre
(to us) minute distinctions?
