Yes. Broyan is a Hall-King. He won't help your fields, he doesn't bless your cattle - his ring is that of a war clan. In times of peace, he'd be a strifebringer (like Rastalulf). But when your liberties are directly threatened by the heir of the Gbaji Empire, he is the man you want as your leader.

Hearth and Hall. Wives are for alliance building. Hearth is a distraction and a dilution of energies, perhaps even of 'precious bodily fluids'. Hall is where its at.

Which would make him an utter wreck as a peacetime king - if he ever got that far. But he's perfect for the moment.
