SNODAL killed the GOD OF SILVER FEET with the SPEAR OF DESTINY in the BLACK FOREST.
The murder took place because Zzabur was planning to sink all of Fronela beneath the waves for some twisted purpose of his own. By killing the God, a barrier against his spell was erected which saved Fronela and possibly sank Brithos as well.
>2) Why did this murder provoke the Syndic's Ban ?
Because the God with Silver Feet was the God of Communication for Fronela, a local version of Issaries if you will.
>3) What is really the Syndic's Ban ?
A wound in the magical landscape of Fronela.
>4) What really happened to the land under the Syndic's Ban ?
Bereft of communication, the various political entities of Fronela lost the ability to communicate with each other. If the entities themselves were fragmented before the ban (Junora, Southbank and Jonatela), the various portions were isolated.
There's also some new land being formed in Fronela as a result of certain countries dumping their spiritual trash beyond the Ban.
>5) Why did the arrival of Dormal begin to break it ?
Because the Closing sustained the Ban. Once that was gone, the Ban was no longer invulnerable.
