  1. The Carmanians speak with the Logicians about the basis of the philosophical foundations of their religion.
  2. The Logicians study the Carmanian theology and sorcery thoroughly.
  3. They demonstrate to the Carmanians that their sorcery (which was believed to be only usable for good purposes) can be used to commit some sort of shocking crime).

All technically correct although many of the names may have changed since the time of composition (a normal hazard when dealing with these sorts of texts).
