 From my perspective, this is not The Truth. If you scrutenize the stories, you will find in the mythologies many stories of where the "other peoples" came from, usually as some sort of inferior cration or a perversion of the "real people" whose myuthology is being told.
Thus what you see there is the Malkioni version, or explanation, of where the Viongkotlings came from.
