In our Greydog Campaign, in which I'm a player not a Narrator, we don't have Concentration, our Devotees can use Common Magic and everyone is happy. We don't use talents/feats/spells in Common Magic, we just have common magic. Devotees don't normally use animism or wizardry, not necessarily because they can't just because they don't really have access to them.

We have two devotees and an initiate. One of the devotees belongs to Babeester Gor, so had to Devote or leave the cult after a year. The other became a Devotee of Finovan at about the same time. The initiate is an Ernaldan healer who doesn't see the point of devoting at the moment.

It seems to work very well.

See Ya
