Just to follow up on Mark's spot-on reply. All Dara Happans acknowledge Yelm as Emperor of the Universe and the Sun God, but very few Dara Happans are pure enough to be admitted into His presence - just as few Dara Happans are allowed to have much contact with the Dara Happan Emperor.

Lodril (who is known by many names) and his sons are the gods of the peasants, the workers, the folk who plant rice and work the plough, the muddy folk. He is lusty and impure and accepts anyone in His presence. The peasants celebrate his many festivals and ceremonies; they can worship Lodril directly unlike Yelm.

Other popular gods include goddesses such as Oria and Oslira.
