> FWIW, Rikard is NOT Rokari.

/// Indeed ? Well to me he is. And a failed rokari to boot.

Rikard is an idealist sorcerer-warrior who fled the Castle Coast searching for lost Malkonwal.
/// Yes, that's probably how he sees himself. He's also a (bastard ?) son of Count Guillam d'Estau for whom daddy had little use and who ran away from (or was kicked out of) Seshnela and earned a living as a mercenary. He goes east, tries his luck in Heortland... and cunningly dresses it up as a "quest" for lost Malkonwal, who everybody knows is in Seshnela (or off its coasts at full fathom five).

The Aeolings embrace him as the alternative to King Broyan of the Hendrikings (and many are flattered by the belief that they live in the ancient Malkonwal of the sacred texts).
/// As always, I love the new slant you put on things. That's what happens at the start (as we say in French "Tout nouveau, tout beau"). Then he shows his true colors. He tries to get esvulari libraries burnt, to force total iconoclasm, etc. and makes such a nuisance of himself the nice esvulari have to sell him to the lunars to enjoy some peace.

Who's the true Rikard ? Well, both of them are true. And false. Of course.
