In old RQ terms, this would be a great idea if my swim and jump skills were different. And if the result of missing the jump roll (a near-certainty) didn't involve an immediate need for a swim roll.

I can't count the characters our party has lost on swim, jump, and (especially) climb rolls. Rarely used, but utterly necessary skills are one of the problems with the old RQ rules. We frequently die doing things that "no self-respecting hero would ever fail in," to paraphrase the HQ rules (from memory).

Trollish maul: 92%; dodge: 87%; dying from a 30-foot climb: priceless.
