Forest counters cannot move and are created in any area that the the Aldryami have possession of at the end of the battle phase (the exact text is "gain possession") Basically, if there is an elf in an area then a Forest grows around him at the end of his turn (unless the player runs out of counters - there are 10 Forest counters. Forests therefore Defend, cannot retreat, and cannot attack as they cannot move. The real objective of the Elf Nation is to get all 10 counters on the board.

Yes, it should be Doblian. Basically, a Pelorian for each Pelorian area, except those containing Warlords. I'm glad you've had fun readng and making. I actually used 1:72 scale plastic soldiers for each nation rather than use counters, but it needed a large number of different types that were easily identifiable. I'd love to hear how it turns out.
