Chalana Arroy is the deity of healing and comfort, and she will be worshipped until there is no need to heal anyone again. She is worshipped by surgeons, nurses, doctors, chirurgeons, and dedicated healers of all types.
Her cult is small but widespread; usually shrines are the only available temples. Her initiates and priestesses have access to healing magics of great power.
Full-fledged Healers of Chalana Arroy are the only beings known to be capable of bringing a Storm Khan out of a berserker rage peacefully.
Chalana Arroy is portrayed as a tall lithe woman, gentle and serene, dressed in a white gown. Her arms are open in a gesture of friendship and her hands are flexed into gestures for blessing or healing spells.
Her holidays are Each Wildday of Fertility Weeks.
Initiates of Chalana Arroy are known as Healers. Healers may be either male or female. They take an oath to never harm an intelligent creature or needlessly cause pain to any living thing. They are forbidden to learn any combat skill except Dodge. They must give half their income to the cult.
Foes incapacitated by a Healer's actions (usually through the use of a Befuddle or Sleep spell) are under her protection, and she will allow none to harm them, though she will allow them to be disarmed and captured. Chaotic foes are exempt from this protection.
The Priestesses of Chalana Arroy call themselves High Healers. To be considered a candidate for High Healer, the initiate must be female and have several healing skills at the master (90%+) level. She must also have never broken her cult vows since she became an initiate.
Chalana Arroy has been known to work with Aldrya, Orlanth, and Yelm, and shrines to her may often be found within their temples.
