Hi,

Ok, lets just take a few things into consideration.

  1. Have you ever tried to get a book printed in the UK? I have and it cost a lot of money, which is why the Unspoken Word had such a high cover price. This is why we are printing in Germany.
  2. Have you tried sending a book weighing as much as Sartar throuh the post in the UK? I have and the price is terrifying. This is also the reason why we are distributing from Germany, it is cheaper to send a book from Germany to the UK than it is to send internal, I know this for a fact, as it is the reason that we opted not to use my wife as the UK distribution officer.
  3. Rogue Trader, yes its a big book, but it is done by a BIG company, who can afford to sell this book at the price they do and probably less to some degree. We are not a BIG company, we are a small company, at the moment. We have a great team, a hard working team, but its a small team non the less, many of whom work for very low rates or in some cases do so as volunteers. I wish I could do a 400 page fully colured interior book, and do one once every two months, but that is not this company.
  4. We saw a demand, we fulfilled a promise, we produced a book that the public have wanted for a long, long time and we have done it well. If you want to see more Glorantha, and have Glorantha done to the standard you have come to love then support this product as best you can. Lets face it, if you are a GM then put it on your Christmas list for your players, if you are player who wants your GM to run you the best game you have played in a long time then go and buy this for your GM. If you spouse would say no to this based on cost, then stub our your cigarette, drink your last real ale for a month and savour the goodness of this product, not only your players, but your heart will love you for it :-)
