The Sun did set in Dara Happan myth. They have the Doom Conjunction recorded on their plates and measured the Solar Radius by the distance between the Peak and the Well of Barda (Heaven Corrupted article in the Glorious ReAscent). Antirius who remained behind was not as bright as Yelm had been nor as far reaching.

They had night time back then. The difference I suppose is that Yelm and other planets went behind the Sky instead of into the Underworld.

There's only about ten and they've all been restored (to the Sky that is, not as was which would be incorrect in the case of Umath).
