Agreed, but such a "Just So" myth is still valid.

True, no sane Orlanthi would want to take part as one of the Unholy Trio, but that doesn't mean that the myth isn't valid. The participants are generally non-Orlanthi, or very bad Orlanthi. However, I can see an Orloanthi taking on the Ragnaglar role in order to create a demon to attack his old clan, for example.

All that shows is that planets have different associations among different cultures.

I wasn't aware of the Unholy Trio being associated with specific plants. It makes sense from the "Devil reborn every 600 years" point of view, especially if that is caused by a coming together of these planets, but they might be echoes or manifestations of the original Unholy Trio, rather than being the original planets.
