Well, the Telmori are hsunchen actually. They could always become wolves, long before the Gbaji wars. The Cursed Ones _must_ become wolves on certain days. The Pure Ones do not, they are ordinary hsunchen just like the Rathori (bears), Sofali (turtles), etc.
I don't think you can become a werewolf by being wounded by a Telmori.
