That's just another unrealistic reaction though, the end of the contest might have nothing to do with the 'deceased', yet it determines when he 'dies'. I always determine negatives when & where they happen for Wounds/Injuries - yes, you can recover to positive AP, and be thereafter unhurt, but ONLY with the appropriate Healing (assuming it's a combat contest - even if it's only used to loan AP, it has to be a Healing ability that can affect the appropriate level of damage).

Not really, a Hero may bit up to his starting AP at any time, regardless of the current total, remember. A heroic sacrifice, possibly.. But I agree the resistance is higher.
