Negative AP and vampires

Hi all.

I know we don't have any official vampire rules yet (hint hint) but it just occurred to me:

Shouldn't vampires gain AP in Close Combat (and maybe magical combat) even if their opponent is already defeated and negative?

In other words, if they transfer on a coup de grace, I think the vampire's AP should go up.
