How much of this salt does he have ? Where does the salt come from ?

Is it from a landscape being, or is it some sort of Common Magic stuff ?

You should limit the salt to allowing two healing attempts instead of one, and you should also rule that on any defeat that the salt has been either used up, or that something bad has happened to the batch in use during the current adventure, etc. ... Which is obvious, and probably not much help.

Personally, I don't think you have a problem on your hands, but some cool game stuff in your player's ...

Just think about what 'to rub salt in a wound' means in the figurative sense, and also think about MGF. Yes sounds like more fun than No, anyways ...
