Not so, I'm afraid. Trolls have difficult births too. Even worse are Trollkin litters and *shudder* great troll births.

In the RuneQuest days, Xiola Umbar gave the spell "Couvade", which had the effect of taking the all the pain and sickness of pregnancy from the mother and dumping it on the father. Of course it had to be voluntary, but just imagine what would happen to a male troll who refused...

Alryami grow from seeds, so they don't have that problem. Mostali... will have mechanised the whole process (probably with a machine that goes "Ping!").

Other species? Not enough info.
