How to do a "God-child"

I have a character concept that I've been thinking over for some time. Essentially he was born as a result of an experimental HeroQuest and has his own (Theistic) magic - certainly some active feats and probably a different-from-usual list of affinities.

But I'm not sure quite how to work it. I'm posting to this list because I want "Gloranthan" as well as pure rules considerations taken into account. What I'm looking for is opinions, advice and ideas.

The options I am considering are:

Put the extra feats under the affinities he would get for being an Initiate ? (It doesn't quite fit my vision but it is workable).

Start with affinities at 13, or with the extra feats at 13 which might turn into affinities at some point (probably by developing some extra feats in-play and then spending a Hero point to combine them into an Affinity at the rating of the lowest)

Just start off with a slightly different set of Affinities ? (I'm leaning towards this one, although it is clearly unusual).

Or some combination ? - perhaps start off with the "extra" feat as a standalone at 13 that can become an affinity ,as suggested above. (Probably replacing one that has no active feats - although I suppose that might be retained.)

THen I have to figure out how to fit the essentials into 100 words. I already know that the back-story will be much longer.
