Another almost trivial example since HQ: I have tended to resolve uninvolved tasks without augments where Victory/Defeat levels are required quickly. Kind of a separate type of contest between Automatic Success and Simple Contest used for 'task resolution' rather than 'conflict resolution'.
This wasn't a conscious thing, it just emerged to fill an occasional need and a recognition that augments are not always relevant or worth worrying about when the stakes are low or we just want a result. I wouldn't be surprised if many people do this; a quick let's let the dice decide situation.
