Jerome Blondel gives a positively formidable answer to a question I asked in passing. I am truly impressed. His ideas make good sense, and I am duly grateful.

You are probably right. According to BA, however, the king of the Aranwyth Tribe is a devotee of Elmal Rex. This means nothing in it self, but according to an ancient post by Roderick Robertson, the tribe's claim to fame is that they are "horse traders and Elmal worshippers." This made me assume (perhaps incorrectly) that Elmal is an important deity in the tribe, worshipped by a sizeable portion of the male population.

If anybody is interested, here are the estimates I use in my game.

CULT MEMBERSHIP IN THE ARANWYTH TRIBE

MALE
Elmal 60%
Orlanth 25%
Heler 3%
Odayla 2%
Yinkin 2%
Other (incl. Humakt, Issaries, Kolat, Urox) 8%

FEMALE
Ernalda 85%
Vinga 3%
Heler 3%
Odayla 2%
Yinkin 2%
Other (incl. Redalda Elmal, Chalana Arroy, Issaries) 5%

You have a valid point. I might have to reconsider the size of the Heler cult (above).
