Equally painful as the previous was a short exchange in an old gaming session from way back that still makes me giggle.

Scene.

Night falls and the players are discussing who will take which watch. As they discuss this I attempt to evoke a slightly unnerving atmosphere.

Me: You hear wolves howling in the distance.

Player: Werewolves?

Everybody pointing in random directions: There wolves.
