That hasn't been my experience with Humakti. Remember, there are some 1800 Humakti in Sartar (see http://www.heroquest-rpg.com/new/q- -a/humakti.html). Most of these will likely be household warriors of kings and chiefs or will belong to Humakti warbands (the hundreds) that offer their services to kings or chiefs (and maybe sometimes the Lunars). They aren't - by and large - a terribly academic and doctinal bunch. Issues of bravery and honor are probably far more important than doctrinal purity (other than don't maintain a Humakti's body after the soul as left it, always fight other Humakti fairly, honor the fallen, and maintain strict truth and confidence).
But that's just my view.
