I can see both sides here. On the one side it is good to know what is in the works, and have some idea of when it might be due - bearing in mind that the date is really a "not before" rather than an "in the shops by" date. On the other hand I can see the frustration of the person eagerly awaiting, say the Lunar Players book, which seems to be dropping ever further back in the schedules - In these sorts of cases it may be that the announcements would be better in more general terms...

Also, as someone else (stefan?) points out elsewhere, long term fans may know the situation with Issaries and be prepared to wait for promised official supplements, and know where to get the many "fan" publications to "tide us over", the "new blood" that we are hoping to attract see only an announcement that says book X is due out in a certain month, and if it isn't then they start to wonder whether the game/company are still about. (Conversly, of course, if they don't see any announcements of forthcoming products they may have the same questions - no one saud it was easy!)
