I don't know if I'm in the minority but I have really begun to prefer the "walking plant" image of aldryami - first seen on the cover of UW's The Thieves' Arm(?) and then in Mongoose's stuff. Certainly, this "change" from the Luise Perrin artwork in the RQII rulebook generated quite a lot of heat on Mongoose's RQ board.

As such, I think I prefer to think of the mostali as being less human-like and "traditional" and more like their "essential" nature. The man-rune part being "two arms, two legs and a head". Something akin to the To-Tanem from Crocodile Games' Wargods of Aegyptus (but without the Egyptian parapehenalia). The link below takes you to the To-Tanem section of their store.
