erm, actually the RW example I was thinking of is that the human retina is sensitive into the ultraviolet spectrum, but the lens is opaque to it -- but people who have had their natural lenses replaced surgically by artificial ones can see into the ultraviolet, effectively having an eighth colour in their spectrum.

In Glorantha, whether or not trolls would see blue as a grey or a black would depend if their eyes were at all sensitive to that light frequency or not, to keep it in terms of RW -- which information is unavailable officially, but I prefer to think that they see it as black -- because these are *trolls*, and their eyes can most likely distinguish between simple black and actual *Darkness* as being visually different. :)

The sources btw, Trollpack IIRC, state that the only colour trolls can see is red.
