That's not actually quite what happened, even from the Orlanthi perspective. The Great Compromise is an Theyalan myth, not a Pelorian myth. The Red Goddess, as a new or long dead goddess, did not participate in the Great Compromise event. When she sought a larger role in the universe, she challenged the gods of the Great Compromise ... and won. That victory should have been impossible, but somehow something outside the Great Compromise overcame the gods that preserve the universe.

>From a Theyalan perspective, that's an extremely terrifying thought - either the Red Goddess somehow cheated (and perhaps that cheat can be overcome) OR the universe has been fundamentally broken and shall inevitably plunge back into the Gods War. The looming Hero Wars are the result of this - the Doom of the world.

And just to let you know, there's more than an element of truth to the Orlanthi perspective. It is not the whole story, but it is *part* of the story.
