Hm, here's one random idea:
Truestone is a remnant of the Spike. The Spike bound all the worlds
together, yes? So perhaps Truestone lets you mix magic more easily, as if
the worlds were still bound. Possibilities:
- Perhaps a chunk of truestone lets you have one feat, spell, or spirit
which (a) is treated as concentrated, and (b) does not interfere with your
own concentration. e.g. A concentrated theist could have a spell focussed in
a piece of truestone; this would not violate his theistic concentration, and
he could improve the spell at the half-HP cost he would pay if he were
concentrated in sorcery.
- Perhaps truestone lets you avoid alien-world penalties--it anchors you in
your own reality, so you can venture into another heroworld without
suffering.
Any thoughts?
