MGHV? In our Heortling game, when the menfolk wanted the wisdom of the women folk they would consult the 'elder grandmother' who was the oldest and wisest of the women folk. I stole this from the Manda Scott Boudicca books, which I feel have a good 'fit' to model my Heortlings on.
I therefore Vote for using the word Grandmother. I feel that adults should be able to use the word in context, especially when Grandmother and grandmother may well be one and the same, at least at clan or tribal level.
