It's not help, but do design in the possibility that the PCs come to understand LDoaH's motivations, realise they are sound, and join with him. The players might of course howl with horror if this was the final outcome, but it is such a delicious trap I think it would help enhance the players enjoyment of whatever the actual solution is, knowing what they avoided.

After all, LDoaH was convinced, and are the players any better than him?
