Very simple. This was during my running the River Voices scenarios from the Sun County book and they needed resurrection fairly quickly. If I recall correctly I think some scenario stated that there was a troop of Chalana Arroys at the Paps as well keeping away from the Lunars. Maybe that's just wishful thinking but I think the deceased was an Orlanthi so that may be how he got the healing. I still think there'd be other earth healing there though. And there'd always be reasons why the priestesses or shamans would be willing to heal people.
