Oops. It is only due to this message that I have noticed that they 'changed' the name. Yet the info provided on page 122 of the HQ book (e.g. Lodril*, Palace of Black Glass, Only Old One, etc.) make it very clear that the entity NOW referred to as 'Argar Argan' is the same as the RQ2/RQ3 Troll god of trade (and surface darkness) who used to be called 'Argan Argar' (IIRC).

[* Aside: Is there anyone who didn't beat up Lodril at some stage before time began? I don't know if anyone has done a 'Which theme tune is most appropriate to each deity?' thread recently but I would vote for Chumbawamba's 'Tubthumping' as Lodril's song. Not only does it go "I get knocked down, but get back up again. You're never going to keep me down!" it's also a rousing drinking song! ;-) ]

But why that particular name change? It seems particularly confusing and cumbersome.
